Teams in Smarp can be used as a way to segment your users to be able to communicate relevant content on a team-level and see how engaged different teams are on Smarp in the Analytics.
Creating a Team
First click on the Users tab on the top of the menu bar and then navigate to the Teams tab.
To create a team, clicking on the Create new team-button. A window will open where you can input the name of the team you want to set up. After clicking Create, your team is created - it's as easy as that!
Define and Edit Team Settings
Once your team is created, you can click on the team name to enter the Team settings. Here you can edit the team name, add users to the team and select essential or default channels for the team.
To add members to the team, simply use the + Add-button. You can either select your Smarp users by choosing them from the drop-down list or you can search by their email address to add them. On Smarp, a user can belong to multiple teams. For instance, your UK Sales Manager could be in the team 'UK' and team 'Sales' at the same time. You are also able to Remove users from a team by selecting them in the member list and clicking Remove at the top of the list.
Additionally, you can also select Essential and Default channels for a specific team to make sure that your team members receive the content that is most relevant to them. Read more about Essential and Default channels here.
Please note that if any channels have been set as Essential or Default in the Company Settings, these will override the Team settings. This means that if, for example, the 'Blog' channel has been selected as Essential in the Company Settings and you add it as a Default in your Team settings, users in your team will not be able to unsubscribe from the channel as it is Essential in the Company Settings and this overrides your Team settings.
Use Teams to segment Analytics
You are able to filter the Analytics in Smarp per team, to be able to see how each of your team engages with content on Smarp. You can filter per team in both Workforce Insights and Posts & Users Analytics.
