If your Smarp domain is using SAML SSO, your users login to Smarp and create Smarp accounts via SAML with their company credentials. But what if you want to grant external freelancers or company alumni access to your Smarp domain and they don't have company credentials? Well for this reason Smarp offers the option to have other login methods available alongside SAML.
With other login methods enabled, admins are able to invite users to join this Smarp domain and users can log in to Smarp with their social network credentials or with a Smarp email or phone number and password.

And here's how it works with other login methods and SAML together:
Things to note regarding the other login methods with SAML feature:
- SAML users will be able to log in via SAML SSO or with their social media credentials. They can use their social media credentials if they have connected their social media accounts to Smarp.
- Invited users will be able to log in with their social media credentials or with the email or phone number + password combination, i.e., the email or phone number associated with their Smarp account and the password they set for Smarp when they joined.
- Even when you enable other login methods, users can only register for an account in your Smarp domain via SAML. If a user is not included in your idP group for Smarp, then they cannot self-register and need to be invited to join by an admin instead. You can read about inviting users here.
