Resources in Smarp is where you can store any internal information or materials that you deem to be relevant for your company's employees. As an admin, you can create new resources for your Smarp group under the Resources tab in Smarp.
Resources can be divided into two sections, Pages and Files, depending on your company Smarp domain's settings. Pages is enabled by default in your Smarp domain, but Files needs to be requested. If you are interested in Files, please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success specialist from Smarp.
Pages
In Pages, you can easily write a lot of information regarding any topics that are important for your users to know, and be able to access and read. A Page can contain a lot of written information including hyperlinks leading to outside sources. You could for example put company policies in a Page resource in Smarp.
To create a new Page resource, navigate to the Resources tab and make sure you are under the Pages heading. Click the New Resource-button to create a page.
This will open a new window where you will be able to write the information for your resource. You can set a title, write a body text including hyperlinks leading to external sources, and choose an image for your resource. The image should follow Smarp's image ratio.
When you have filled out all the information and you are ready to create your resource, click Publish and it will be created. You can then immediately see your newly created resource under the Resources tab for the group it was created for. Resources will always be shown in alphabetical order according to the title.
If you ever want to delete or edit a page, you are able to do so by clicking the three dots next to to the title.
Files
In the Files section of the Resources tab you can upload individual files such as policy documents, safety information, requisition forms and more. This makes it easy for your users to find specific documents that are related to them. You can also share the links leading to these files outside of Smarp and your Smarp users will be directed back to Smarp to view the file.
To create a new File, navigate to the Resources tab and make sure you are under the Files heading. Click the Upload File-button:
Choose the file you want to upload from your computer and click Done. The file will be uploaded and will soon be visible under the Files heading. Please note that the file should be in any of the below formats and cannot be larger than 10MB.
Supported file formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or.ics.
For each file, the admin who uploaded the file can edit or delete the file using the pend and trash can icons. All users also have the option to download or copy the link to the file.
Important to note about Resources
Please note that resources are group-specific, so if you want to have the same page or file for many groups it needs to be created for each group separately. If your company Smarp domain does not have Groups, then all resources are for your whole Smarp domain.
